About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Executive to join our NSW team.
Reporting to the State Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing customer relationships, managing existing accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and achieving sales and revenue targets within the liner shipping industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day sales activities and assigned customer accounts.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners.
- Achieve TEU and revenue targets as set by the company.
- Prepare and execute weekly sales call plans and sales reports.
- Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Respond promptly to customer enquiries, booking requests, and freight rate requests.
- Prepare and present freight quotations and service proposals.
- Ensure accurate booking and customer information is maintained within company systems.
- Liaise with Operations, Documentation, and Customer Service teams to ensure high service standards.
- Coordinate interstate and national account opportunities with internal stakeholders.
- Maintain market awareness and provide competitor and industry feedback to management.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience in liner shipping, freight forwarding, logistics, or shipping sales.
- Proven ability to develop customer relationships and generate sales growth.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- We are looking for motivated, responsible with ability to solve complex problems individuals with experience as Sales Supervisor, preferably in Line Shipping.
