About the role
BCAC has a fantastic opportunity for ahighly motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse to providemedical supportand manage a team of care employees, along with theemotional and social support ofclients and their families.
As a Registered Nurse, you are responsible for providing quality evidence-based nursing care for residents in accordance with their care plans, which you will develop in collaboration with the resident, their medical officer, and other members of the healthcare team. In addition, you play an essential role in supporting the emotional and social goals of residents and their families with a focus on holistic well-being. You are responsible for providing leadership and first-line supervision to Care Employees, including allocation and monitoring of duties to ensure they are completed to the highest quality. As a leader, you are also responsible for role modelling BCAC’s values and the behaviours that create a high-performing, highly engaged team. This includes creating a positive and qualified work environment for clients, families, employees, doctors and allied health professionals.
Skills you’ll need to succeed
Current RN registration with AHPRA
Minimum of 2 years of experience working as Registered Nurse in Aged Care
Demonstrate leadership and mentoring skills, with proven ability to manage large team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to prioritise time and organise work schedules
A strong clinical focus with the ability to provide a high level of holistic support that best suits the individual
A hands-on approach to your role with a focus on customer service
Positive attitude and adaptable to change
Solid awareness of WH&S; legislation and manual handling procedures.
