Specialist Support Solutions are hiring Experienced Support Workers within the Disability Sector.

We believe in building genuine relationships, working collaboratively with participants, their families, and service providers to ensure everyone receives the support they need — when and how they need it.

About the Role

We’re looking for Experienced Disability Support Workers to join our passionate team in the Rockhampton/Gracemere/Yeppoon/Emu Park Region. In this role, you will be part of a respected and trusted team, dedicated to delivering high-quality support to individuals with diverse needs. Your responsibilities will include a range of services aimed at improving the daily lives of our clients and helping them achieve their NDIS goals.

Key Responsibilities

Personal Care & In-Home Support: Provide compassionate care that meets the individual needs of each client.

Medication Assistance: Administer prescribed medications with attention to detail and safety.

Community Access & Appointments: Facilitate clients’ access to the community, including transport to appointments.

Domestic Support: Assist with light cleaning,



pet care, and other household tasks to ensure a clean and comfortable environment.

Equipment Use: Operate hoisting equipment as needed to ensure clients’ safety and comfort.

NDIS Goal Support: Help clients work towards their NDIS goals, fostering independence and growth.

Respite Care: Engage in activities that offer clients a positive respite experience, providing valuable downtime for family carers.

High Intensity Support Responsbilities

PEG feeding and enteral Nurition

Dysphagia and Mealtime Management

Medication Assistance and Medication Documentation

Bowel Care Support

Complex Physical Disability Support

implementing, Supporting Participants with Behavior Support Plans

Supporting Participants with mental health concerns.

What We're Looking For

At least 12 months of experience in disability support or a similar role.

Experience with High Intensity Behaviors, Mental Health, PEG Feeding, Seizures, Diabetes

Blue Card/Yellow Card and First Aid Certificate.

First Aid

Completion of the NDIS Orientation Module.

A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

Cert III in Individual Support (or enrolled to complete).
