Applicants from the previous process IPS/SS who were assessed as suitable are not required to reapply. We are seeking to establish a pool of Cleaners in Charge for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role





Are you looking to join a supportive and welcoming school community? Warnbro PS is establishing a pool of Cleaners in Charge for permanent and fixed‑term positions, with both full‑time and part‑time opportunities available.

As our Cleaner in Charge, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining a clean, protected and engaging environment for our students, staff and visitors. The Cleaner in Charge is responsible for inducting, training, leading, and managing cleaning staff including relief staff; monitoring and ordering stock supplies within your budget; maintenance and stocktake of cleaning equipment; undertaking cleaning of allocated internal and external areas; opening and locking the college, including setting the security alarm system and conducting twice daily hand over with the Manager Corporate Services.

We are ideally seeking an enthusiastic and capable Cleaner in Charge who is committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation across our school. Suitable applicants should have a strong attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with others while also being confident working independently.

Suitable applicants would be organised, dependable and punctual, with the ability to effectively coordinate cleaning operations and support a positive team culture.



They should have a sound knowledge of cleaning equipment, products, and safe work practices, and be committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the school. Strong communication skills, a proactive approach, and a willingness to contribute to the broader school community will be highly regarded.

Eligibility

To work with us, you will need to:

- obtain a valid Working With Children Check.
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
