Our client is an established Australian manufacturer based in Bathurst, NSW , producing high-quality commercial partitioning systems and furniture products.
They are looking for a capable CNC Operator who has strong practical machining knowledge and the aptitude to develop into a CNC Programmer .

You do not need to already be an experienced BSolid Programmer . If you have solid CNC operating experience, understand how programs translate to the machine and are motivated to learn, the business is prepared to develop the right person.

About the Role Initially,



you'll bring your hands-on CNC operating knowledge into the team while developing your programming capabilities.

The goal is to progress you toward a predominantly office-based CNC programming position , working alongside two experienced CNC Operators/Programmers and supporting approximately nine production staff across four CNC machines.

You'll develop experience with BSolid programming software , production planning, program optimisation and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and support CNC machinery within the manufacturing setting.
- Develop your skills in BSolid CNC programming .
- Learn to create, modify and optimise CNC programs.
- Read and interpret production drawings and specifications.
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues.
- Assist production operators with CNC-related issues.
- Complete basic fault finding and machine checks.
- Ensure components are produced accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain production and programming documentation.
- Work closely with experienced programmers and production staff.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and workplace safety.

About You

We're particularly interested in someone who has strong CNC operating experience and is ready for the next step in their career .

Ideally, you'll have:

- Previous experience as a CNC Operator, CNC Machinist or similar .




- A valuable understanding of CNC machinery and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical or production drawings.
- Strong computer literacy and an interest in CNC programming.
- Good mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to learn new software and processes.
- A genuine interest in progressing from CNC operation into programming .
- Experience within cabinetry, joinery, furniture or similar manufacturing would be advantageous.
- Exposure to BSolid, HOPPS or other CNC programming software would be highly regarded but is not essential .
- Forklift Licence desirable but not essential.
