Specialist - Obstetrician & Gynaecologist Relocate to Regional VIC

Staff Specialist – Obstetrics & Gynaecology Join a supportive and progressive Obstetrics & Gynaecology team where you'll have the opportunity to manage a diverse and rewarding caseload while developing your clinical interests in a collaborative environment.
Working within a Level 5 Maternity Service , you'll provide specialist obstetric and gynaecology care alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team of specialists, midwives, nurses, allied health professionals and support staff. About the Service The Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department provides comprehensive maternity and gynaecological services across a diverse regional population and acts as a referral centre for surrounding hospitals.
The service offers exposure to a wide range of complex obstetric and gynaecological presentations, including:

- Level 5 Maternity Service with 24/7 Birth Suite and dedicated theatre support
- Comprehensive Neonatal Services supported by specialist Paediatricians
- Advanced laparoscopic and endoscopic gynaecological surgery
- Complex urogynecology, chronic pelvic pain and endometriosis management
- Multidisciplinary surgery with Urology, Colorectal and General Surgery teams
- Well-equipped outpatient clinics featuring modern colposcopy and ultrasound technology

This diverse caseload provides an excellent environment to treat complex patients while developing specialist expertise.
About the Role As a Staff Specialist – Obstetrics & Gynaecology , you will provide high-quality specialist care across both obstetric and gynaecological services while contributing to teaching, supervision and the ongoing development of the department.
You will:

- Deliver specialist obstetric and gynaecology care across inpatient,



outpatient and theatre settings
- Perform a broad range of obstetric and gynaecological surgical procedures
- Participate in an attractive on-call roster with on-call retainer and paid call-backs
- Supervise and mentor Registrars, Hospital Medical Officers and medical students
- Support Accredited and Unaccredited O&G; Registrars, Specialist International Medical Graduates (SIMGs) undertaking the RANZCOG pathway and newly appointed Consultants
- Contribute to multidisciplinary care, quality improvement and clinical governance activities

About You To be successful, you will have:

- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG), or an equivalent specialist qualification recognised in Australia
- Specialist registration, or eligibility for specialist registration, with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA)
- Eligibility for a Medicare Provider Number
- Broad experience across obstetrics and gynaecology, including competency in a wide range of obstetric and surgical procedures
- Experience in advanced gynaecological surgery, ideally including laparoscopic surgery
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching and supervising medical students, trainees and junior medical staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to multidisciplinary care
- A compassionate, patient-centred approach to women's healthcare
