An exciting opportunity has presented for an enthusiastic and committed Health and Physical Education Teacher to join our dedicated, vibrant and creative Junior School learning community in 2027. The School is proud of its sporting history and success and our outstanding facilities and sporting culture provide an amazing platform for any enthusiastic physical educator.

Commencing Term 1 2027 , this is a full time permanent position.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Junior School, the Junior School Health and Physical Education Teacher delivers engaging and inclusive programs for students from Pre Prep to Year 6, fostering physical literacy, wellbeing, teamwork and a lifelong appreciation of healthy, active lifestyles. The role also contributes to sporting events, carnivals and co-curricular programs that encourage participation, personal growth and school spirit.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching and Learning

Deliver engaging HPE lessons for students from Pre-Prep to Year 6.

Plan and implement effective, differentiated learning programs.

Assess, monitor and report on student progress and achievement.

Provide timely feedback to students and communicate regularly with parents.





Maintain high-quality teaching practices and integrate technology to enhance learning.

Professional Practice

Maintain current knowledge of HPE curriculum and teaching practices.

Engage in ongoing professional learning and reflective practice.

Collaborate with colleagues to support positive student outcomes.

Attend staff and departmental meetings as required.

Student Wellbeing and Pastoral Care

Foster a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.

Apply effective behaviour management and uphold school policies.

Support student wellbeing, participation and personal growth.

Monitor student needs and liaise with relevant staff to provide appropriate support.

Demonstrate professionalism through effective organisation, punctuality and communication.

Child Safety and Screening

Teaching staff must be currently registered or eligible for Teacher Registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.

It is a requirement that all suitable candidates' details are checked with the Anglican Church's National Professional Standards Register.
