Margi by Azure is seeking an experienced and motivated Cook to join the kitchen team on a full-time basis. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing, seasoning and cooking a variety of meals in accordance with recipes, quality standards and customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

- Preparing, seasoning and cooking a variety of meals in accordance with recipes, quality standards and customer requirements.
- Preparing ingredients and ensuring all food is ready for service in a timely manner.
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with relevant legislation and company procedures.
- Receiving, storing and rotating food supplies using appropriate stock control practices.
- Working collaboratively with the Head Chef and kitchen staff to ensure efficient kitchen operations during service.
- Complying with all workplace health and safety requirements.

About you





- A relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery, Kitchen Management or a related hospitality discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen - minimum 12 months.
- Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and safe food handling practices.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- The ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced team environment.
- Strong communication skills and a positive work ethic.
