Project Engineers - Mechanical and Civil

Gravity Resources is seeking Mechanical and Civil Project Engineers to support a major mining operation across an ongoing pipeline of sustaining capital, brownfield and site infrastructure projects.

These are client-side Project Engineer roles , working closely with site teams, contractors and engineering consultants to take projects through planning, procurement and execution.

We are interested in engineers across different levels, from intermediate Project Engineers with good site experience through to Senior Project Engineers capable of taking ownership of smaller projects and work packages.

The roles are FIFO on an 8 days on / 6 days off roster , working 12-hour days. Flights are available from Brisbane and Townsville, with travel to and from site occurring within the 8-day swing. Accommodation and meals are provided on site.

There is a solid pipeline of capital works extending through 2027, providing good continuity for engineers looking for longer-term contract opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

- Developing and reviewing scopes of work, drawings, work packs and tender packages
- Supporting procurement and contractor engagement
- Coordinating mechanical,



civil and multidisciplinary project scopes
- Managing contractors and supporting construction activities on site
- QA/QC, cost tracking, progress reporting and schedule updates
- Conducting site inspections, surveillance and field engineering
- Coordinating with supervisors, contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders
- Supporting commissioning, handover and project close-out
- Ensuring project works are delivered safely and in accordance with site and engineering requirements
- Taking ownership of smaller projects and work fronts where appropriate

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

- Previous Project Engineering experience within mining, resources, heavy industry, infrastructure or similar environments
- Experience delivering capital, sustaining capital, brownfield or construction projects
- Site-based or FIFO experience highly regarded
- Experience working with contractors, consultants and operational stakeholders
- Understanding of QA/QC, HSE, risk and project documentation
- Ability to manage scopes and solve practical engineering issues in an operating site environment
- Previous client-side experience is advantageous, however engineers with valuable contractor or consultancy experience are also encouraged to apply
