They are now seeking a skilled Draftsperson to join their team and play a key role in bringing high-quality residential designs to life.
What you’ll be doing:
- Collaborate closely with the administration team to ensure client homes align with pre-construction requirements and expectations.
- Prepare preliminary, planning, working and prestart drawings to support contract documentation.
- Ensure all documentation complies with NCC requirements, R-Codes, local shire policies and developer covenants for successful shire submissions.
- Implement amendments to working drawings in line with approved variation orders.
- Raise drafting clarifications to address design feasibility, compliance and shire feedback.
- Liaise with engineers, energy assessors and surveyors to ensure all information is accurate,
compliant and delivered on time.
What you’ll need:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience within residential construction or building drafting.
- Certificate IV in Residential Building Drafting (or equivalent qualification).
- Proficient in Archicad with the ability to produce accurate, build-ready documentation.
- High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and consistency.
- Solid working knowledge of the NCC, Residential Design Codes and relevant Australian Standards.
- Ability to interpret DAPs, LDPs and structural engineering documentation.
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods and building principles.
- Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to overcome design and compliance challenges.
- Demonstrated experience producing working drawings and contract documentation.
- Capable of working autonomously while managing deadlines and priorities.
- Honest, reliable and professional, with a positive approach to your work.
- Team-focused mindset with a genuine can-do attitude.
