Your new company A public sector organisation is seeking a GIS Officer to support a major floor space and employment survey project. This role will contribute to the preparation, processing, and management of spatial and survey data across a large urban workplace.

Responsibilities

- Create GIS building models and prepare data to support field survey activities.
- Assist with collecting and processing floor plans, build polygon models of buildings in ArcGIS, prepare base data for field surveyors, and input and edit returned field data.
- Support data validation processes to help ensure the accuracy and completeness of survey records, including information relating to buildings, floors, businesses, floor space, and employment.

Requirements





- Tertiary qualifications in Spatial Systems.
- At least two years of professional experience.
- Strong GIS capability, particularly with ArcGIS.
- Experience in large-scale data management.
- Strong time management skills, ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment.
- Ability to work flexibly with incoming and outgoing survey data.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly understand data structures and processes.

Contract & Location

- Contract till May 2027
- Sydney CBD/Hybrid
