Council has an opportunity for a dynamic, creative and motivated Arts & Cultural Development Officer to join the Creative Services Team.

The Creative Services Team are passionate, energetic and have a positive, pro‑active team culture focused on delivering venues, activations, creative events, cultural development and public art.

Arts and culture play an important role in shaping Shellharbour’s identity, fostering community connection and creating vibrant, inclusive places.

This role will help to identify, develop, and produce creative and accessible programs that support artists and facilitate audience engagement. This position also coordinates Council’s Public Art commissions.

About you:

You are a passionate and collaborative arts professional with demonstrated experience delivering arts and cultural programs, public art projects and community-focused initiatives.

You have solid project management, stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to build partnerships, manage funding opportunities and deliver creative outcomes that enrich community life.

Organised and proactive, you can effectively manage competing priorities while supporting local artists, enhancing cultural opportunities and contributing to a vibrant and creative Shellharbour.

We offer:

- Permanent part time, 30 hours per week with the prospect for hybrid work options
- Commencing salary range from $1,531.23 - $1,624.95 per week (for 30 hours)
