The Position

Scotch College is seeking a Physics Teacher to join our Senior School Science team, commencing in Term 4, 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. This is a permanent, full-time position.

The successful candidates will be outstanding practitioners in their respective science disciplines, able to engage students, support robust academic outcomes and contribute positively to a collaborative and motivated faculty.

The successful candidates will:

- Have extensive experience of teaching Physics at ATAR (Year 11 or 12) level, as well as experience of teaching science across senior school (Years 7-12)

- have a high level of WA curriculum knowledge and an ability to impart this knowledge to students effectively.

- have competent digital technology skills to enhance teaching and learning.

- create an environment of active and genuine learning.

- have exceptional communication, presentation, and teamwork skills along with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff and parents.

- apply exceptional pedagogical principles in the classroom including the use of ICT skills, and creative and critical thinking tools.

- be willing to contribute to our extensive programme of co-curricular activities.

- It would be desirable, but not essential, for the successful candidates to have experience teaching the IB Diploma,



but an openness to undertake professional learning in the IBDP is essential.
