Project Engineer (Ground Engineering & Stabilisation)

Must have local Australian experience as a Project Engineer working in Ground Anchoring (Soil nailing & Rock bolting), Slope Stabilisation, Ground Improvement, Shotcrete, and Foundation piling works

The Company

Our client is a nationally recognised engineering contractor specialising in Ground Anchoring, Slope Stabilisation, Shotcrete, Foundation Piling, Specialist Civil Construction and Ground Improvement projects. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work across Queensland, they are looking to appoint an experienced Project Engineer to join their team and help deliver a diverse range of technically challenging ground engineering projects.

The successful candidate will have Australian experience delivering projects involving:

- Ground Anchoring (Soil Nailing & Rock Bolting)
- Slope Stabilisation
- Ground Improvement
- Shotcrete
- Foundation Piling

This is a ROSTER position working across the Greater Queensland region on a 15 days on / 5 days off roster.

A fully maintained company vehicle is provided, along with accommodation and a Living Away From Home Allowance (LAFHA) of $100 per night while working away. Based on the roster, this equates to approximately $25,000 per year in additional earnings, depending on project locations and time worked away throughout the year.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with the planning, coordination and successful delivery of specialist ground engineering projects throughout Queensland. Working closely with Site Supervisors, Foremen,



Project Managers and client representatives, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the planning and delivery of Ground Engineering and Slope Stabilisation projects.
- Coordinate day-to-day project activities with site teams and subcontractors.
- Prepare and monitor project programs, budgets and cost reporting.
- Assist with procurement, programming and resource planning.
- Manage project documentation including RFIs, variations, progress claims and quality records.
- Liaise with clients, consultants and internal stakeholders throughout project delivery.
- Monitor project performance against budget and programme.
- Ensure all works are completed in accordance with company quality and safety systems.
- Provide technical support to site teams and assist in resolving construction issues.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and project stakeholders.

What's On Offer?

- $135,000 - $150,000 base salary (dependent on Australian experience)

- Accommodation paid for and provided +$100 per night Living Away From Home Allowance (LAFHA). The LAFHA roughly works out to another $20k - $25k per year earnings if your work the full year on this roster.

About You

To be considered for this position you will have:

- Degree qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline.
- Approximately 2-4 years' Australian Project Engineering experience delivering Ground Anchoring, Slope Stabilisation, Ground Improvement, Shotcrete, Foundation Piling or similar specialist civil construction projects. We are only considering experience working for a Ground Engineering Contractor, we are not considering head contractor experience.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within a quick-paced project environment.
- Commitment to delivering projects safely, on time and within budget.
- Willingness to work a 15 days on / 5 days off DIDO roster across the Greater Queensland region.
- Australian Permanent Residency or Australian Citizenship with unrestricted working rights.
