Our client in Cambridge is looking for a Licensed Millwright to join their team in a permanent full-time position on the day shift!
The Millwright will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery and mechanical equipment in the facility. Types of machines involved will be large CNC Mills and Lathes.
Excellent compensation package including hourly rate between $34.00-44.00 per hour, vacation, health and dental benefits, HC spending account and retirement pension company matching program!
This position is on the day shift from 7:00am-3:30pm with flexibility on start times, to start earlier and leave earlier depending on the work!
Qualifications:
- Minimum Gr. 12 diploma AND Certificate of Qualification/ Licensed as an Industrial Millwright are a MUST.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Industrial Millwright, with experience maintaining and repairing CNC and conventional machinery.
- Working knowledge of safety standards of equipment.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- The ability to wear the required PPE.
- Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots and tools as required
- Ability to perform tasks that require a high degree of accuracy
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Highly flexible, with robust interpersonal skills allowing one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
- Ability to work independently without supervision and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to travel and work between Kitchener and Cambridge sites when needed.
- NOTE:
Candidates must be able to meet security screening requirements set out by ITAR/CGRP directives and to pass the Controlled Goods background screening for military.
Job Duties:
- Maintaining and repairing of large CNC Mills and Lathes
- Troubleshooting and root cause analysis of machine breakdowns.
- Ensuring operating safety devices function properly on completion of repairs, modifications and installations.
- Participating in the PM program on all equipment for continuous improvement of all machines.
- Follow up with contractors/suppliers to ensure parts are ordered and received on a timely basis.
- Maintaining and repairing physical plant structure.
- 5-S Activities which include health & safety awareness/initiatives.
- Keeping detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation.
- Maintaining a clean and environmentally safe work area
