Role Description The Accountant / Financial Analyst is a part-time remote role responsible for supporting financial planning, accounting, and reporting activities for IICA Representation in Colombia. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing financial statements, supporting budget development and monitoring, and performing variance and trend analyses to inform decision-making.
The role also involves maintaining accurate records in accounting software, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and applicable regulations, and preparing periodic financial reports for internal and external stakeholders. The individual will collaborate with program and administrative teams to track project-related expenditures, reconcile accounts, and contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and controls.
Qualifications
- Robust knowledge of Finance and experience preparing and interpreting Financial Statements.
- Proficiency in Financial Reporting and the use of Accounting Software for day-to-day operations.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills for budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience with nonprofit or international cooperation organizations is an asset.
- Solid understanding of Colombian accounting and tax regulations is desirable.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
