APG Workforce is currently seeking an experienced Administration Officer to join a local government team on a temporary casual basis for an approximate 4-month assignment.

The Role

This role provides high-level administrative and customer service support across the Community and Facility Services team. You will work closely with Council staff and customers, supporting day-to-day administration, bookings, financial processes, databases, contracts and general office functions.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide professional and courteous administrative and reception support.
- Respond to telephone, counter and customer enquiries.
- Provide general office support including word processing, photocopying, scanning, mail and document management.
- Staff the Bookings Office as required.
- Maintain Council databases and process customer requests accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare purchase orders, invoice authorisations and payments, ensuring appropriate approvals are obtained.
- Assist with access control and security key systems.
- Support the administration of security contracts, including purchase orders, invoices and contract variations.
- Prepare correspondence,



approvals and other general documentation.
- Provide administrative support for projects, events and Community and Facility Services activities.
- Work collaboratively with other administrative staff across Council.
- Undertake other reasonable duties as required by Management.

About You:

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a busy, customer-focused office administration setting.
- Strong administration and organisational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- The ability to quickly learn new systems, processes and procedures.
- Confidence working across multiple administrative systems.
- Experience working with contracts or legal documentation is highly desirable.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.

Requirements

- Successful completion of pre-employment requirements, including a National Police Check.
- Verification of right to work in Australia.
- Ability to commit to an approximate 4-month temporary casual engagement.
