About the role

Reporting to the Development Manager – Grants, the Senior Grants Advisor provides expert pre‑ and post‑award grants support to maximise the Institute’s success in securing and managing competitive research funding.

The role partners closely with researchers to identify funding opportunities, strengthen grant applications, ensure compliance with funding requirements and provide end‑to‑end grant administration following award.

Working collaboratively across the Institute, the role contributes to continuous improvement of grants processes while providing high‑quality advice and practical support throughout the funding lifecycle.

About you

You are a collaborative and client‑focused grants professional who enjoys partnering with researchers to achieve successful funding outcomes. You build trusted relationships through responsive service, practical advice and your ability to simplify complex funding requirements into clear and achievable actions.

Highly organised and proactive, you thrive in an environment where multiple funding rounds and competing deadlines require careful planning,



exceptional attention to detail and sound judgement. You take ownership of your work, anticipate issues before they arise and consistently deliver high‑quality outcomes under pressure.

You combine strong analytical capability with excellent written communication skills, enabling you to strengthen grant applications while ensuring compliance with complex funding requirements. Curious and solutions‑focused, you actively seek opportunities to improve processes and contribute positively to the continuous development of the Grants Office.
