Are you looking for a role where you can create meaningful outcomes for Aboriginal communities while contributing to one of Australia's largest renewable energy projects? The Northern Land Council (NLC) is seeking an experienced and motivated Implementation Officer to support the successful delivery of agreements associated with the SunCable solar generation project at Powell Creek Station in the Barkly region. As the Implementation Officer, you'll work alongside Native Title Holders, community leaders and project partners to help turn agreement commitments into real opportunities. From supporting governance and community participation to facilitating employment, training and business development outcomes, your work will help ensure lasting benefits for communities across the Barkly region.

About The Role
You'll work closely with Native Title Holders, community representatives, industry partners and stakeholders to support the implementation of agreements associated with the SunCable solar generation project at Powell Creek Station. From supporting governance structures and facilitating engagement to identifying economic participation opportunities, you'll help ensure the agreements deliver real and lasting benefits for Aboriginal people and communities.
No two days will be the same. You'll balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, working across communities,
stakeholders and project partners to achieve positive outcomes and maintain strong relationships.
What You Will Bring
You are a relationship builder who enjoys working with people, creating partnerships and turning opportunities into meaningful outcomes. With strong communication skills and a collaborative approach, you are comfortable engaging with diverse stakeholders and navigating complex environments. Most importantly, you'll bring a genuine commitment to supporting Aboriginal people and communities, along with the drive to deliver positive and lasting impact.
In Addition To This, You Will Have
- Qualification in Business, Community or Economic Development, Project Management or a related field, and/or minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience working in community development, governance, capacity building or stakeholder engagement environments.
- Demonstrated experience working with Traditional Owners.
- Experience working in remote Aboriginal communities within the Northern Territory.
- Current C Class Driver's Licence and the ability and willingness to undertake regular travel to remote communities and project locations.

We Offer
- A base salary of $106,570 per annum plus 15% superannuation and salary sacrificing up to $15,900 + Meal Entertainment and Holiday. Accommodation benefit up to $2,650 per year.
- Other benefits under our Enterprise Agreement include:
- District allowance of up to $4,884 (DA2) per annum for individuals with dependents and $2,678 (DA1) without dependents;
- Generous leave provisions 5 weeks annual leave, 18 days personal leave;
- Paid Christmas close down;
- Upon completion of 12 months of service an Annual airfare with a net (in hand) value of $3,177;
The Northern Land Council does not provide accommodation for this position. We encourage applications from candidates who currently live in the Elliott, Tennant Creek or surrounding Barkly region, or those who are willing to relocate at their own expense to undertake the role.
