About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Category Management Specialist to provide specialist procurement support across mining services categories. Working within a high-performing procurement team, you will partner with stakeholders to develop sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and deliver commercial value across the procurement lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage sourcing and tendering activities from development through to award
• Develop and implement category management strategies aligned with business objectives
• Lead contract negotiations and supplier engagements for high-value and high-risk contracts
• Manage strategic supplier relationships to maximise value and performance
• Provide commercial and procurement advice to internal stakeholders
• Support governance, compliance, and risk management requirements
• Analyse procurement data and provide reporting and recommendations
• Build strong partnerships across operational and project teams
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across procurement processes

Mandatory Requirements
• Strong experience in procurement, sourcing, or category management roles
• Knowledge of procurement governance, compliance,



and risk management processes
• Experience managing tenders, supplier relationships, and contract negotiations
• Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement skills
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Solid communication and relationship-building skills

Preferred
• 5+ years' experience in procurement or category management
• Experience within mining, resources, energy, or heavy industry sectors
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Engineering, Law, or related discipline
• Experience managing mining services categories
