Our client is seeking a safety focused, motivated and experienced Reach Stacker Operator to join their team on a permanent basis.
The work cycle for this role will be Monday - Friday, and an occasional Weekend Day, with the option to work overtime.
Duties:
- Efficient operation of Reach Stacker operations
- Load and unload trucks as instructed and as per daily operating procedures
- Reposition container/s within the terminal as required
- Keeping the yards tidy and systematic
- Load and unload freight in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner. Complete all necessary associated documentation, as directed including computer work & servicing of equipment.
- Maintain care of vehicles / plant under your care
- Be experienced with yard planning and executing of a rapid-paced small container depot.
Requirements:
- Ensure compliance with all safety, fatigue, heavy vehicle operating guide lines
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environment
- Ability to work well within a small team environment
- Comply with regular Drug and Alcohol testing
- Must be fit for work with a good level of fitness and general health
- Unload/reload sideloader and semi trailers, Stack & reposition containers as per safe working instructions
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously
Who Are You?
- The ideal candidate will have:
- Reach stacker licence (RS)
- Experience in office operations environment will be highly regarded.
- Minimum 500 hours experience using a 45 tonne Reach Stacker
- Hold Excel skills be able to use a digital tablet device and be able to learn and navigate a transport programme proficiently.
