Wood is currently recruiting for an Associate Accountant to join our team in Melbourne on a 12 months contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for all tasks relating to the billing of a major project, month end close and providing support for contract reporting and audit queries.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate allocation of time and costs to contracted work
- Invoice client in accordance with contract
- Manage customer financial audit processes & ensure resolution is reached
- Ensure customer payments meet contractual timing, workings with client representation to ensure all invoices are paid timely
- Liaises with client representatives, and project personnel to resolve billing queries
- Reports contract performance and analyses variances
- Ensure rates data changes captured in a timely manner and provided to the client for their approach
- Responsible for ensuring all revenue and costs are accurately allocated for assigned Projects Ageing and reconciliation of Unbilled Revenue account for assigned contracts Requirements
- Undertake all month end related task and analysis for the contract eg accruals
Qualifications
- Accounting Degree and qualified CPA / CA (or currently working towards)
- 2-3 year's experience in a similar role
- Intellectually capable & can substantiate the ability to apply theory in a particular context
- Professional demeanour, interpersonal skills
- Able to demonstrate team working skills
- Enthusiastic, conscientious and keen to learn
- Flexible with a can-do attitude
