Join Our Team in Innisfail - Accounts Officer

We’re looking for a dependable, detail-focused Accounts Officer to join our team in Innisfail. This is a key position within our Finance Department at Trans North Bus & Coach, part of the wider Donric Group, a well-respected name in passenger transport services across Queensland and Victoria.

We have a strong, loyal workforce, many of whom have been with us for years. We’re now seeking someone who values accuracy, takes pride in their work, and wants to be part of a team where their contribution genuinely matters.

About the Role

Working closely with our General Manager and Group Financial Controller, this role supports the day-to-day financial operations of the business.

You’ll take ownership of tasks like:

- Accounts Payable and Receivable - processing invoices, following up on overdue accounts, and reconciling transactions
- Bank reconciliations, petty cash, credit card transactions
- Monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
- Supporting compliance with financial and legislative requirements
- General data entry and finance admin
- Supporting the GM in general administrative functions
- Communicating clearly with the GM and external stakeholders as required

About You

You’re someone who brings a practical mindset and calm, professional presence. You might have worked in similar roles across transport, logistics, admin, agriculture, local government or small-medium business.



You don’t need to be a recent graduate — we genuinely value life and work experience.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

- Proven experience in finance, accounts, or payroll
- Confidence using MYOB, Microsoft Excel, and standard office systems
- Experience using FoundU or similar Employee management systems
- Experience using CoachManager or similar Transport and Logistics Software
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility
- Ability to work both independently and within a small team
- Good communication skills — written and verbal
- A steady, solutions-focused approach to your work
- A formal qualification in finance or accounting is great, but not essential if you bring real-world experience
