Our Barista / Waitress is a key member of our café team, responsible for providing friendly, attentive customer service while preparing and serving quality coffee and beverages.

This is a hands-on hospitality role that requires someone who is energetic, reliable, well presented and able to confidently work across both front-of-house and coffee service. The successful person will contribute to creating a welcoming environment where customers feel valued and enjoy a consistently high standard of service.

Key Responsibilities Customer Service & Waitperson

- Welcome customers with a friendly and positive attitude.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Deliver food and drinks to tables promptly and professionally.
- Check on customers throughout their visit and respond to requests.
- Provide knowledgeable and helpful information about the menu.
- Clear and reset tables efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and welcoming dining area.
- Handle customer feedback and concerns professionally and appropriately.
- Create a warm, family-friendly atmosphere for all customers.

Barista & Beverage Service
- Prepare high-quality coffee and other beverages consistently.
- Operate the coffee machine, grinder and other beverage equipment safely.
- Adjust coffee grind and extraction as required.
- Prepare espresso coffees including flat whites, lattes, cappuccinos and long blacks.
- Prepare teas, iced drinks, smoothies and other beverages as required.
- Ensure all drinks are presented to the café's required standard.
- Maintain a clean, organised and well-stocked coffee station.

Teamwork
- Work closely with kitchen, FOH and management teams to ensure smooth service.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with team members.
- Assist other areas of the café during busy periods.




- Support fellow team members and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
- Be willing to learn and assist with different tasks as required.

Skills & Experience
- Previous café, barista or hospitality experience preferred.
- Barista experience and knowledge of coffee preparation highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy café environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise during busy periods.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Food safety knowledge is desirable.
