We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our Port Melbourne team. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with solid mechanical expertise and experience in heavy manufacturing environments.

What You'll Do:

- Perform troubleshooting and breakdown maintenance across a wide range of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems.
- Carry out bearing fitting, V-belt maintenance, laser alignment, and general mechanical rebuilds.
- Maintain and repair pumps, pneumatics, hydraulics, and press fittings.
- Ensure safe and effective operation of equipment within a large-scale manufacturing environment.

What You'll Bring:

- Trade qualification: Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven experience in heavy manufacturing, FMCG, petrochemical, power & energy generation, or mining industries.
- Exposure to plasterboard manufacturing will be highly regarded.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, with confidence in troubleshooting and repairs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a quick-paced setting.
