Krish Indian Cuisine in Southport is seeking an experienced and motivated Chef to join our busy kitchen team on a full-time basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality Indian dishes, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation, supporting daily kitchen operations and ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are followed at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook a wide range of Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori items, breads and other menu specialties
- Ensure consistent food quality, taste, presentation and portion control
- Organise food preparation and manage day-to-day kitchen workflow
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and receiving ingredients
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, hygiene and food safety standards
- Assist with menu planning and development of new dishes
- Work closely and lead other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service
- Help manage food wastage and maintain appropriate storage procedures




- Control cost and kitchen budget for overall restaurant profitability

Requirements:

- Relevant commercial cookery qualification of at least Cert IV or higher
- Previous experience working as a Chef, preferably within Indian cuisine
- Good knowledge of Indian cooking techniques, spices and food preparation
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
- Strong teamwork, communication and organisational skills
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required

Salary: Market-competitive salary based on qualifications and experience
