We are a well-established accounting and taxation practice in Mt Hawthorn. We provide taxation, business advisory, and compliance services to a wide range of clients. We are seeking an organised, proactive, and friendly Full-Time Intermediate Accountant to join our close-knit, skilled team.

About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated Intermediate Accountant with 2 years’ Australian tax and public practice experience to join our team. This hands-on role offers variety, regular client contact, and the opportunity to build your skills in a supportive team environment.

Please note this is a Full Time, on-site role, with hours of 8.30am till 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships, and SMSFs

- Preparation of BAS, IAS, and other compliance obligations

- Assisting with tax planning and advisory work

- Liaising directly with clients regarding accounting and taxation matters

- Maintaining accurate client records and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation

- Working closely with directors and senior accountants to meet client and lodgement deadlines.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have a genuine interest in taxation and accounting, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

To be considered you will have:

- Minimum 2 years of accounting & tax experience in an accounting practice is essential.

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business or Commerce

- Strong knowledge of Australian taxation and accounting standards

- Intermediate/advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word & Excel

- Knowledge of accounting software, including HandiSoft, MYOB AE and AR,



Xero, Class, FuseSign is ideal but experience with comparable programs will suffice.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Strong Communication skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise conflicting deadlines, and work efficiently.

- Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident with the right to work in Australia.
