Are you a qualified fabrication professional with leadership potential and a passion for safety and precision? We're looking for an experienced Foreperson - Mechanical to join our dynamic team and lead site-based Industrial operations across a variety of exciting projects.
As a key member of our team, you’ll supervise and guide crews, ensuring all work is performed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards — particularly within maritime and industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate daily activities of the team in office.
- Supervise personnel, apprentices, and subcontractors.
- Support training and development of apprentices and contractors.
- Ensure safety, quality, and efficiency in all work activities.
- Maintain clear communication with site supervisors and project teams.
- Manage tools, PPE, and site resources in line with safety policies.
- Undertake fabrication and welding duties as needed.
- Contribute to a clean, safe,
and productive work environment.
Essential Criteria:
- Trade certificate or equivalent training & the necessary skills & experience.
- Minimum of 2 years relevant industry experience in a leadership role.
- Ability to work across multiple sites as required.
- Strong communication and basic leadership skills.
- Reasonable level of physical fitness and mobility.
- White Card (Construction Induction).
- Ability to work in remote locations when required.
- Able to work at heights or in confined spaces
- Adherence to Fitness for Work policies.
Desirable Criteria:
- EWP Ticket.
- Working at Heights
- WA ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence.
- Forklift Licence.
- Confined Space
- Fire Sentry certification.
- Previous experience working on Utilities projects (Highly regarded)
- First Aid Certificate.
