Beaumont&Beaumont; are seeking an APS6 equivalent Business/Data Automation Developer | APS6 to join a Commonwealth Government Department in Canberra.

This is a technical role, and you will work with internal business areas to improve processes by programming, designing and developing solutions to create efficiencies, streamline workflows and improve data management in business operations.

Technical Skills

This is a technical role, and you must have experience and technical skills with the following:

- Demonstrated expertise and strong technical skills with the Microsoft 365 suite of products, in particular Copilot Studio and Power Automate

- Ability to script within VBA, PowerShell, SQL and SharePoint (including lists, forms and workflows)

- Experience and familiarity with applying automation and AI tools

- Strong experience and qualifications in business and data analysis/systems

Duties of the role

In this role, you will be required to:

- Analyse, document and identify areas and opportunities for improvement, simplification and automation in business processes/systems

- Automate manual processes





- Improve data quality and workflows

- Improve business processes and practical solutions through the application of technical automation and processes (Microsoft Office suite, VBA, SQL, PowerShell, etc)

- Communicate professionally with non-technical stakeholders, and collaborate with internal teams to practically solve problems

- Write and maintain technical documentation of solutions and create user guides

- Advice internal business areas on automation, AI and engagement with new and existing ICT

- Act with high levels of integrity and professionalism in accordance with APS values
