Industrial Maintenance Trade Assistants & Skilled Labourers

Please Note: This is a Perth-based role working across client sites within the Perth metropolitan area. This is not a FIFO position.

IFM Group is a Western Australian industrial and facilities maintenance company based in Naval Base.

We provide civil, building, plumbing, carpentry, electrical and mechanical maintenance services across industrial, processing, manufacturing and bulk-handling facilities throughout Western Australia.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking reliable, safety-focused Industrial Maintenance Trade Assistants & Skilled Labourers to join our team.

These are hands-on, varied roles suited to people who enjoy practical work and are willing to assist across multiple trades and maintenance disciplines. No two days are the same, and you'll have the opportunity to develop your skills while working on a diverse range of industrial and commercial maintenance projects.

Positions will initially be offered on a casual basis, with the opportunity to transition to permanent full-time employment after a three-month qualifying period for the right candidates.

About the Role

Working alongside experienced tradespeople, you will assist with a broad range of industrial and facilities maintenance activities across multiple client sites.

Your duties may include:

- Assisting tradespeople with industrial and facilities maintenance works

- General building repairs and preventative maintenance

- Civil works, trenching and drainage

- Concreting, asphalt repairs and demolition

- Plumbing and mechanical trade assistance

- Basic carpentry, fencing and minor construction works

- Operating hand tools,



power tools and small plant and equipment

- Site clean-up, material handling and general labouring duties

- Working safely in accordance with SWMS, JHAs and site procedures

- Maintaining clean, safe and organised work areas

- Travelling between various client sites across the Perth metropolitan area

We're looking for people who are adaptable, take initiative and are willing to assist wherever required to get the job done safely and efficiently.

About You

To be successful in these roles, you will have:

- Previous experience as a Trade Assistant, Maintenance Worker, Multi-Skilled Labourer, Construction Labourer or similar

- Experience in industrial maintenance, facilities maintenance, civil construction, building maintenance or a related industry

- A robust commitment to workplace health and safety

- The ability to follow SWMS, procedures and supervisor instructions

- A positive attitude and willingness to learn

- Strong practical and problem-solving skills

- A reliable work ethic with excellent attendance

- The physical fitness required for manual work

- A current Australian Driver's Licence

- Reliable transport

- The ability to pass ongoing drug and alcohol screening

- The ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable Licences & Tickets

The following are advantageous but not essential:

- Construction White Card

- Concreting and asphalt experience

- Civil construction or drainage experience

- Working at Heights

- Confined Space Entry

- Elevated Work Platform (EWP)

- Forklift Licence

- Skid Steer, Loader or Excavator tickets

- High Risk Work Licence

- First Aid Certificate

- Experience working on industrial, manufacturing, processing or mining sites
