About Our Client
Our client is a growing transport and logistics company based in Bellevue, providing reliable transport and freight solutions across Western Australia.
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and highly organised Operations & Accounts Administrator to join their team on a maternity leave contract. This is a diverse and hands-on role combining accounts administration, payroll, customer service and operational support.
For the right candidate, there may be an opportunity to transition into an ongoing part-time position following the maternity leave period.
About the Role
This role is integral to the day-to-day operations of the business and requires a highly organised, proactive individual with exceptional attention to detail.
Working closely with management and operational staff, your responsibilities will include:
- Processing weekly payroll and payroll administration
- Superannuation processing and reporting
- Customer invoicing and account management
- Driver payment processing (RCTIs)
- Accounts payable and supplier payments
- Bank reconciliations and transaction allocations
- Preparation of customer statements
- Debt collection and accounts receivable follow-up
- Department of Transport registrations and permit payments
- Setting up current suppliers and subcontractors
- Employee onboarding and general HR administration
- Customer service and account enquiries
- General administration and operational support
- Assisting with the implementation and integration of business systems and software
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in accounts administration, office management or a similar role
- Strong working knowledge of Xero
- Experience processing payroll and superannuation
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
- A professional, proactive and customer-focused approach
- A strong commitment to reliability, punctuality and attendance
This role requires attendance and readiness to commence work at the designated start time of 7:30am each day.
Previous experience within the transport, logistics or freight industry will be highly regarded, but is not essential.
