Role Description The Cloud Engineer will design, implement, and maintain cloud-based solutions that support the organization’s work in insurance, artificial intelligence, and legaltech. Day-to-day tasks include configuring and optimizing cloud infrastructure, deploying and monitoring applications, managing system performance, and ensuring security and reliability of cloud environments. The role involves collaborating with researchers and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable architectures, automating workflows, and contributing to technical documentation and best practices.

This is a part-time remote role, requiring effective self-management, clear communication, and the ability to work across distributed teams and time zones.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Cloud Computing and Infrastructure skills, including experience with major cloud platforms, networking concepts, and infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Candidates should possess Software Development skills, with proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python,



Java, or similar) and experience building and maintaining cloud-native applications.
- Candidates should possess Linux skills, including system administration, shell scripting, performance monitoring, and security hardening in server environments.
- Candidates should possess Databases skills, including experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, data modeling, performance tuning, and backup/recovery strategies.
- Relevant qualifications include a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience), familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines, understanding of security and compliance in cloud environments, and solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), experience in AI or legaltech domains, and prior work in remote or international teams are beneficial.
