Commercial Lawyer | 2-6 Years PAE

Our client, a well-established legal practice with decades of experience in the local market, is seeking a Commercial Lawyer to join their growing team. With an experienced Practice Manager and approachable legal leaders committed to mentoring and development, this is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer looking to deepen their commercial law expertise while maintaining exposure to a broad range of business matters.

Key Responsibilities
- Commercial Transactions: Advise on business sales and acquisitions, business structuring, shareholder arrangements, joint ventures, partnerships, and commercial contracts.
- Commercial Advisory: Provide practical legal advice to business clients on governance, legislative compliance, risk management, and strategic commercial matters.
- Business Structuring & Asset Protection: Assist clients with structuring and protecting their commercial interests and assets.
- Commercial Agreements: Draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial documents, including service agreements, supply agreements, guarantees, and security documents.
- Property Transactions (Secondary Focus):



Support commercial clients on property-related matters, including leasing, acquisitions, disposals, and development projects.
- Leasing: Advise on and negotiate commercial and retail leases, including rent reviews, renewal rights, assignments, and exit arrangements.

Ideal Candidate You will have 2-6 years' PAE with a strong foundation in commercial law and a genuine interest in working closely with businesses and business owners. Applicants with a blend of commercial and property experience are encouraged to apply, however this position is primarily focused on commercial law matters. You will be comfortable advising clients on transactions, structuring, contracts, and broader business issues, while delivering pragmatic and commercially focused solutions.

You are a relationship-driven lawyer with solid communication skills and the ability to build trust with clients. In addition to being technically proficient in drafting, negotiation, and legal research, you enjoy working collaboratively and want to be an integral member of a supportive team where mentoring, professional development, and client exposure are valued.
