Join Suncorp's NSW CTP Claims team as a Common Law Claims Advisor in Sydney, and use your legal, negotiation and analytical skills to manage complex personal injury claims and deliver fair outcomes for customers.

You'll assess complex information, develop claim strategies, negotiate confidently and make sound decisions while working with customers, solicitors, medical professionals and internal specialists. What you'll do

- Manage a portfolio of complex Common Law personal injury claims from lodgement through to resolution
- Develop and execute effective claims strategies to achieve timely and sustainable outcomes
- Review and interpret medical, financial, rehabilitation and investigative evidence
- Negotiate with claimants, solicitors and other stakeholders across pre-proceedings and litigated claims
- Attend settlement conferences and hearings as required
- Build strong relationships with customers and their legal representatives
- Make fair, informed decisions using your judgement and analysis
- Work closely with Technical Advisors, Injury Management Advisors and Legal teams
- Ensure claims are managed in line with legislation, regulatory requirements and internal procedures

What you'll bring





We're looking for people who are comfortable with complexity, confident having challenging conversations and motivated by finding fair and effective solutions.

You may be:

- A lawyer or legal professional who has worked in a law firm and is looking to take your career in a different direction
- Someone with personal injury experience looking to broaden your career
- An insurance or claims professional with strong negotiation, analytical and stakeholder skills
- Someone with experience in a personal injury environment, including areas such as plaintiff law, medical negligence or other forms of personal injury

You'll also bring:

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The confidence to engage with customers, solicitors and a range of stakeholders
- Strong negotiation, conflict resolution and decision-making skills
- The ability to analyse complex information and exercise sound judgement
- A strategic and solutions-focused approach to claims management
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
- CTP experience is not essential. We're more interested in your transferable skills, experience and genuine interest in building a career in Common Law.
