Content Specialist - 6 month contract
Hybrid: min 2 days in office / 3 days WFH

This is a 6 month contract opportunity for a Content Specialist to be part of a prestigious globally renowned higher education institution. With a user centric digital first approach you will be part of a collaborative team creating engaging, audience-focused content.
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of written, editorial, digital, social, photography and video content across owned channels and publications. Your work will support student recruitment, engagement, partnerships and broader marketing priorities.
About the role
- Develop and deliver an annual content plan informed by student insights and aligned to postgraduate and student recruitment priorities.
- Research, write, edit and produce compelling content across digital, print, social, web, email, photography and video.
- Identify and develop stories that showcase teaching, learning, engagement and partnership opportunities.
- Interview students, academics, alumni and other stakeholders to create engaging content.
- Translate complex information into clear, relevant and audience-focused communications.
- Work closely with Marketing, Brand, Student Recruitment, University Communications and Engagement teams to deliver integrated content initiatives.
- Manage external suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Coordinate and supervise casual and freelance content coordinators.
- Manage content project timelines, deliverables and reporting.
- Ensure all content meets University brand and Faculty identity guidelines.
- Evaluate content performance and recommend opportunities to improve engagement and ROI.
About you You are a talented storyteller and content professional who combines creative thinking with solid project management and stakeholder skills .
You will have:
- Demonstrated experience in content creation, ideally within a large or complex organisation.
- Strong editorial, writing and storytelling skills across digital, print and social channels.
- Experience developing and delivering integrated content plans and projects.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A collaborative, agile and solutions-focused approach.
- Strong judgement and the ability to work autonomously.
- Experience managing external suppliers and briefing in creative
- A tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, business or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
