A DELISH AFFAIR CATERING SERVICES PTY LTD A Delish Affair Catering Services is seeking multiple experienced full time cooks to join the kitchen team at their restaurant in Westfield, Penrith NSW 2750. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, seasoning and cooking a wide range of dishes in accordance with standard recipes, menu specifications, food safety requirements and presentation standards. The role requires a practical understanding of commercial kitchen operations and the ability to work efficiently during busy lunch, dinner and function services.

The Cook will work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure food is prepared consistently, safely and within required service times. The position is particularly suited to a cook with experience preparing Italian-inspired and contemporary restaurant cuisine, including pasta, pizza, seafood, meat, poultry, salads, sauces and other menu items.

Supportive team-based kitchen environment. Task & responsibilities Receive, inspect, store, and rotate all stock in accordance with the restaurant’s procedures and HACCP food safety standards. Prepare, season and cook food in accordance with recipes and menu specifications.

Prepare and cook a range of Italian-inspired and contemporary dishes, including pasta, pizza, seafood, meat, poultry, salads and sauces. Examine food and ingredients to ensure freshness, quality and suitability for use. Prepare ingredients by washing, cutting, chopping, slicing, marinating and portioning.

Regulate cooking temperatures and cooking times to ensure food is prepared correctly. Operate commercial kitchen equipment including ovens, grills, cooktops, fryers and pizza ovens. Portion,



plate and present meals in accordance with the restaurant’s standards.

Prepare and present sauces, gravies, dressings and garnishes. Prepare meals to accommodate special dietary requirements and food allergies. Maintain appropriate food storage, temperature control and stock rotation practices.

Assist with estimating food requirements and organising ingredients for daily service and functions. Monitor food quality and minimise food wastage. Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and kitchen safety.

Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, workstations and food preparation areas. Work collaboratively with chefs, kitchen staff and front-of-house staff during service. Assist with maintaining consistent recipes, portion sizes and food presentation.

Assist and provide guidance to less-experienced kitchen staff as required. Contribute to an efficient kitchen workflow during busy lunch, dinner and function services. Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and cleanliness, ensuring compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) regulations at all times.

Qualification &

experience Certificate III in Commercial Cookery Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar environment Relevant food safety training and knowledge of Australian food safety requirements will be highly regarded.
