The Foodie Mate Pty Ltd, trading as Scott's Luncheonette and Bar, is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef to join the team on a full-time basis. Located in the vibrant Gold Coast Region of Queensland at Shop 1, 1114 Gold Coast Highway, Palm Beach, our relaxed and modern café-bar provides a welcoming space for locals and visitors alike to enjoy quality food and drinks throughout the day. From morning coffee and hearty lunches to evening cocktails, our menu is designed to cater to a wide range of tastes.
In this full-time Chef role, you will be an integral part of the kitchen team at Scott's Luncheonette and Bar, helping to prepare, cook, and present our diverse menu items to a high standard. We offer a competitive salary range of A$81,000 to A$83,000 per year.
Key responsibilities for this position typically include:
- Preparing, cooking, and plating dishes in accordance with the establishment's menu and quality standards
- Ensuring all food preparation areas maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety compliance
- Collaborating with team members to manage daily kitchen operations smoothly and efficiently
- Assisting with stock management, ingredient rotation, and minimizing food waste
- Adapting to a quick-paced environment across various service periods, including lunches and daytime dining
