About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Project Manager to join our Contracting Business.

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of projects from commencement through to completion. You will manage project scope, programme, cost, procurement, contract administration, risk, stakeholder engagement and project reporting while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

You will also provide leadership and mentoring to Project Engineers, Graduate Engineers and Cadets while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the end-to-end delivery of multiple construction projects.

- Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts and cost reporting.

- Prepare and manage project programmes, look-ahead schedules and resource planning.

- Administer contracts, variations, progress claims and project documentation.

- Manage procurement activities including subcontractor and supplier engagement.

- Monitor project performance against budget, programme and contractual obligations.

- Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.

- Ensure compliance with Delta Group's Quality, Safety and Environmental Management Systems.

- Develop and review management plans, SWMS and project risk assessments.

- Build and maintain strong client, consultant and subcontractor relationships.





- Complete monthly reporting, cost forecasting and risk & opportunity reporting.

- Mentor and develop Project Engineers and site-based project teams.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to business growth.

About You

You are a motivated and commercially focused Project Manager with a proven track record delivering successful construction projects. You thrive in a quick-paced environment, are highly organised and enjoy leading teams to achieve outstanding project outcomes.

You will also have:

- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.

- Minimum 5 years' experience managing construction or civil infrastructure projects.

- Strong project management and contract administration experience.

- Excellent commercial and financial management skills.

- Sound knowledge of procurement and subcontractor management.

- Experience preparing project forecasts, budgets and cost reports.

- Strong understanding of project planning and scheduling.

- Ability to identify and manage project risks proactively.

- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

- A practical, solutions-focused approach with strong leadership capability.

- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel as required.
