Your new role
An exciting opportunity exists for a customer-focused Front of House Officer / Receptionist to join a professional team on an initial 8-week temporary assignment, with the potential for extension.As the first point of contact, you will be responsible for welcoming visitors, coordinating meeting attendance and providing high-quality administrative support. This role requires a calm, empathetic and professional approach, as you will regularly engage with members of the community, including vulnerable individuals who may be attending meetings, hearings or appointments.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Meeting and greeting visitors and attendees
- Managing reception and front-of-house enquiries
- Coordinating meeting rooms and attendee arrivals
- Providing information and directing visitors appropriately
- Assisting with scheduling and administrative tasks
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Liaising with internal stakeholders and external community members
- Supporting the smooth running of meetings, conferences and hearings
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this position, you will demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a reception, front-of-house or customer service role
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A professional, welcoming and empathetic approach
- Experience interacting with people from diverse backgrounds
- The ability to remain calm and professional in sensitive situations
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- A current National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one
