Role Description The Data Analyst (Entry / Junior) will support data-driven decision-making for Startup Mahakumbh by collecting, cleaning, and analyzing event and operational data. In this part-time hybrid role based in Melbourne, VIC, the Data Analyst will work both on-site and remotely, creating reports and dashboards to track key metrics such as attendee engagement, exhibitor performance, and program outcomes. Daily tasks include preparing datasets, running basic statistical analyses, building data models, and visualizing insights in a clear and accessible format for internal stakeholders.

The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, validating data accuracy, and presenting findings in concise summaries and presentations. This position is ideal for individuals early in their analytics career who want exposure to a dynamic startup ecosystem while developing practical data skills.

Qualifications





- Demonstrated analytical skills and foundational experience in data analytics.
- Basic knowledge of statistics and the ability to apply statistical concepts to real-world datasets.
- Experience with data modeling and structuring data for reporting and analysis.
- Robust communication skills, with the ability to explain data insights to non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, or entry-level BI/analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is beneficial.
