Hilton Sydney is seeking a strategic and commercially driven Director of Revenue – Groups, Conferencing & Events to lead the optimisation of group accommodation and catering revenue across one of Australia's leading hotels.

This leadership role is responsible for maximising revenue performance within the Groups, Conference and Events segment while driving commercial strategy, forecasting, pricing, demand management and profitability. Partnering closely with Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing and Operations teams, you will play a key role in positioning Hilton Sydney as the market leader in the Sydney MICE sector.

The successful candidate will be an experienced commercial leader with a strong background in revenue management, hospitality, events, or hotel operations, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional commercial outcomes.

Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day:

- Develop and execute revenue strategies to maximise group room and catering revenue.
- Manage and optimise demand calendars and event space utilisation to drive profitability.
- Evaluate group and catering opportunities, ensuring pricing and allocation decisions align with business objectives.
- Analyse booking trends, conversion rates, lead times, competitive activity and lost business to identify revenue opportunities.
- Collaborate with regional revenue teams to ensure group revenue strategies are implemented effectively.
- Support weekly business reviews and contribute to strategic decision-making around key opportunities and risks.
- Support and influence commercial strategies across Sales, Events,



Food & Beverage and Front Office departments.
- Deliver insightful reporting, presentations and commercial recommendations to senior leadership and ownership groups.

In addition, this role requires the following minimum qualifications:

- Tertiary qualification in Hotel Management, Business, Commerce or a related field.
- Proven experience in Revenue Management, Conference & Events, Commercial Strategy or Hotel Operations.
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated success in delivering revenue growth and financial performance.
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, forecast demand and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing capability.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Preferred
- Understanding of the Sydney MICE market and hotel commercial operations.
- Experience working within a large hotel, conference or hospitality environment.
