About TBH
At TBH, we dream of transforming communities and improving lives, by providing cutting-edge solutions to our clients most complex problems.
We’re one of Australia’s largest privately owned, independent consultancy with an international footprint, and have been specialising in high-risk, large-scale and challenging projects since 1965.
As leaders in our field and trusted advisors, we have provided specialist project management services to the public and private sectors on over 8,000 landmark projects across Asia-Pacific and the Middle East.
TBH has been growing rapidly in Australia and internationally, but continues to be a connected, collaborative and supportive team. We have set our strategy looking ahead to 2030, to ensure we continue to meet the needs of clients and set ourselves up as a business for the future.
About the Opportunity
We are looking forward to welcoming an experienced Dynamics 365 Functional Lead to our Sydney Team, who’ll become our internal subject matter expert for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, with additional capability in Project Operations. Working closely with our Finance, Commercial, Project Delivery and Operational teams, you’ll get to understand how our business operates, identify opportunities to improve the way we work and recommend practical solutions aligned with industry and Microsoft best practice.
This is a hands-on functional role where you’ll work directly with business stakeholders to understand their challenges, translate business requirements into practical D365 solutions, and configure and test those changes yourself. You’ll also play an important role in supporting users and driving adoption, helping our teams make the most of the functionality already available to them.
You’ll take a practical, business-first approach to D365, looking at how we can use standard functionality wherever possible and knowing when a process should change, when configuration is the right solution and when specialist technical support is required. Where development or specialist expertise is needed, you’ll work closely with our implementation partner, HSO, to deliver the right solution.
The focus is on continually improving business processes and maximising the value of our existing Dynamics 365 investment, rather than delivering large-scale implementation projects.
As our Dynamics 365 Functional Lead you’ll be responsible for:
- Building trusted relationships across Finance,
Commercial, Project Delivery and Operations to understand business needs and challenges.
- Identifying opportunities to simplify, improve and standardise business processes and ways of working.
- Translating business requirements into practical Dynamics 365 solutions and configuring the platform to support them.
- Providing hands-on functional ownership of Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, including system configuration, testing and functional support.
- Driving continuous improvement and adoption, helping teams make better use of existing Dynamics 365 functionality.
- Maintaining and prioritising a backlog of improvement opportunities and ensuring solutions align with Microsoft and industry best practice.
- Working with HSO and other technical specialists where required, providing clear requirements and ensuring solutions meet the needs of the business.
- Maintaining appropriate functional documentation, processes and training materials to support consistency and best practice.
What you’ll bring As our successful candidate you'll bring:
- 5+ years’ hands-on functional experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, including at least 2 years supporting and enhancing a live D365 environment post-implementation.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or a related discipline
- Strong D365 Finance & Operations functional capability, with Project Operations experience highly regarded.
- A strong understanding of business processes and a genuine interest in finding better, more efficient ways of working.
- The ability to translate business requirements into practical solutions and confidently determine when to use standard functionality, change a process or seek specialist support.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the confidence to build relationships and advise stakeholders at all levels.
- A hands-on approach with the ability to take ownership of solutions and understand processes and systems end-to-end.
- Experience working with external technical specialists,
including defining requirements and reviewing proposed solutions.
