About Yadeni Tago (Advancing Together)

Yadeni Tago, meaning "Advancing Together" in the Turrbal language, brings Indigenous and non-Indigenous Family and Child Connect services together into one integrated model of support. You'll join a passionate, highly skilled team committed to:

- Supporting families before issues escalate
- Keeping children safe and connected to their families and community
- Delivering culturally safe and inclusive services
- Working collaboratively with families, community and support services
- Walking alongside Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, CALD and non-Indigenous families

About the Role





As a Family Response Facilitator, you'll be the first point of support for vulnerable families seeking assistance.

You will

- Build trusting relationships with families
- Undertake risk, safety and needs assessments
- Provide information, advice and practical support
- Coordinate referrals to appropriate services
- Support families using strengths-based and solution-focused approaches
- Advocate for positive outcomes for children, young people and families
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who is passionate about supporting families and thrives in a collaborative team environment.

Essential Skills & Experience

✔ Understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and communities, or willingness to develop cultural capability ✔ Experience working with families, children or individuals using strengths-based, solution-focused approaches

✔ Experience conducting safety and risk assessments

✔ Knowledge of Queensland Child Protection legislation and practice

✔ Strong communication and relationship-building skills

✔ Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team

✔ Sound computer skills including Microsoft Office and client management systems

Qualifications

You will hold qualifications (or equivalent experience) in one or more of the following:

- Human Services
- Social Work
- Psychology




- Community Services
- Youth Work
- Early Childhood
- Domestic & Family Violence Practice

You'll also require:
- Current Positive Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Current Driver Licence
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card) or ability to obtain
- Ability to obtain a National Criminal History Check
