About the Role

We are seeking a committed and versatile Secondary Teacher to join our growing team, teaching Year 7 & 8 English, Mathematics, and Physical Education. This role is suited to an educator who is passionate about supporting students during their early secondary years and who values strong relationships, high expectations, and holistic student development.

The successful applicant will demonstrate sound curriculum knowledge, effective classroom practice, and a commitment to the Islamic ethos of the College. Teachers are supported by subject coordinators and an experienced leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in English, Mathematics, and Physical Education aligned with the Victorian Curriculum (VCAA).

- Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment that supports student wellbeing and academic growth.

- Integrate Islamic values and positive character development into daily teaching and interactions with students.

- Assess, monitor,



and report on student learning using a range of formative and summative assessment strategies.

- Support students’ physical, social, and emotional development through quality Physical Education programs.

- Work collaboratively with colleagues, coordinators, and leadership to enhance curriculum planning and teaching practice.

- Participate in professional learning, school events, and co-curricular activities.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Current VIT Registration (or eligibility to obtain).

- Bachelor of Education (Secondary) or equivalent teaching qualification.

- Sound knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum (Years 7–8) in English, Mathematics, and Physical Education.

- Commitment to upholding the values, mission, and Islamic ethos of the College.

- Ability to teach or support Islamic Studies, Qur’an, or Arabic is highly regarded.

- Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
