The role
We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Technician to join our Perth service team based at Bibra Lake. This is a Monday to Friday workshop-based role with occasional site work supporting hydraulic and mechanical fixed plant equipment.
You will be a key member of the service team carrying out overhaul, repair and testing work. We are looking for a mechanically minded technician who can work autonomously, takes pride in quality workmanship and maintains a strong commitment to safety. Mechanical tradespeople with some hydraulic experience are encouraged to apply, with opportunities to further develop specialist hydraulic skills on the job.

Key Responsibilities
- Dismantle, assess, repair, reseal and test hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves and manifolds
- Overhaul hydraulic and mechanical components in the workshop
- Perform hydraulic tube bending and small fabrication work
- Test and commission hydraulic equipment and systems
- Complete service reports and maintain accurate job records
- Liaise with clients regarding job scope and findings
- Support fault finding and hydraulic system troubleshooting
- Assist with breakdown and maintenance work as required
- Travel to client sites occasionally for field service work
Qualifications and Experience
- Mechanical Trade Certificate
- Experience working on hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves and HPUs
- Strong hydraulic fault finding and troubleshooting capability
- Experience with hydraulic system maintenance and rebuild work
- Ability to read drawings and follow technical procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a service team
- Good written and verbal communication skills for service reporting
- Current driver’s licence
