What's the role?

Based out of our Perth Branch, as an Operations Coordinator you will play a key role in keeping our freight moving safely and efficiently. You will monitor your allocated channel, prioritise jobs and allocate them to the most suitable driver and vehicle, and follow work through to completion. You'll support drivers with route guidance and queries, keep an eye on vehicle capacity and Chain of Responsibility requirements, and work closely with Dispatch, Customer Service and Fleet to resolve issues as they come up.

This position suits someone who is analytical, organised and calm under pressure, and who takes pride in keeping a busy operation running smoothly.

What you need is:

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following:

- Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks

- A high level of attention to detail

- A sense of initiative, urgency and flexibility

- An analytical, systematic approach with sound problem-solving ability

- Patience and the ability to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally

- A good understanding of freight handling and fleet operations is highly regarded but not essential, full training will be provided
