About My College
My College is an independent Islamic school dedicated to nurturing confident, capable, and compassionate young Australians who live by the timeless values of faith, respect, and excellence. About the Role
We are seeking an inspiring and committed Primary/Secondary Arabic, Islamic Studies & Quran Teacher to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a deep appreciation for the school’s Islamic ethos and a passion for developing students’ academic skills alongside solid character and values.
This position involves teaching Islamic Studies, Arabic language, and Qur’an into classroom learning. Teachers are supported by subject coordinators and an experienced leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum (VCAA).
- Incorporate Islamic values and worldview into daily teaching and student interactions.
- Foster a caring, respectful, and spiritually uplifting classroom environment.
- Collaborate with the Arabic and Islamic Studies departments to ensure consistency in student learning.
- Assess and report on student progress using school-wide standards and Compass (or equivalent platform).
- Participate in professional learning and whole-school initiatives that promote academic excellence and faith-based growth.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Current VIT Registration.
- Bachelor of Education (Primary) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Sound knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum (F–6).
- Commitment to upholding the values, mission, and Islamic ethos of the College.
- Ability to teach or support Islamic Studies, Qur’an, or Arabic is highly a must.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
