Enabling Pathways Community
Cairns
Location: Cairns
Contract: Part-time | Flexible
About the Company:
Enabling Pathways is a growing Queensland not for profit organisation committed to creating meaningful opportunities and positive outcomes for individuals and communities.
Through Enabling Pathways Group we deliver disability support, youth services and community initiatives designed to strengthen wellbeing, connection, inclusion and independence. Our work is centred on practical support, community engagement and developing programs that respond to the changing needs of the people and communities we serve.
About the Role:
Enabling Pathways Group is looking for a creative, energetic and hands on Social Media & Content Creator to take ownership of our social media presence and help tell the stories happening across our organisation.
Based in Cairns, you will work across multiple brands, programs and Queensland locations, creating content that brings our people, services and community initiatives to life. This is not a role where you will spend every day behind a desk creating graphics and scheduling posts. You will be out filming, taking photos, attending events across Queensland, speaking with teams and identifying stories worth sharing.
You will also build strong relationships with our regional teams, turning the photos, videos and updates they provide into engaging social content and helping shape how Enabling Pathways shows up online.
You'll take ownership of our day-to-day social media content and help shape how our different brands show up online.
Your role will include:
- Creating engaging content for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn
- Filming and editing short-form videos, Reels and Stories
- Taking photos and capturing behind-the-scenes content
- Creating regular and authentic Story content showing what's happening day-to-day
- Developing and managing content calendars across multiple brands
- Scheduling and publishing content consistently
- Identifying content opportunities rather than waiting for someone to tell you what to post
- Getting out and about across our workplaces, programs and community activities to capture content
- Attending events, launches, partnerships and other activities
- Working with staff and managers to uncover great stories
- Coordinating content from our teams across different Queensland locations
- Turning raw footage from regional teams into polished social content
- Creating simple branded graphics and promotional material
- Supporting recruitment and employer-branding content
- Monitoring comments and engagement across our social channels
- Keeping up with social media trends and identifying opportunities relevant to our brands
- Reviewing what's performing and continually improving our content
About You
We’re looking for someone who brings creativity, initiative and confidence to the role, with the ability to turn everyday moments into engaging content.
We're looking for someone who has:
- Formal marketing qualifications are welcomed but not required.
- Experience using Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite or similar design and editing software will be highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of current social media platforms, trends and content styles, particularly Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn.
- A creative mindset with the ability to generate fresh content ideas and identify opportunities that will capture attention and drive engagement.
- Confidence filming people, activities and events using a smartphone or camera.
- Experience creating and editing short form video content, including Reels, Stories and TikTok style content.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to create explicit, natural and engaging captions and social media copy.
- A proactive approach and the confidence to approach teams, suggest ideas and take the lead in creating content.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities and take ownership of day to day content creation and social media activity.
- Strong organisation skills with the ability to plan and manage content across multiple brands, audiences and locations.
- Ability to adapt content style and tone, balancing professional corporate messaging with authentic, engaging and community focused content.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with a wide range of teams, stakeholders and personalities.
- Willingness to work beyond the desk and actively attend workplaces, events and community activities across our Queensland locations to capture content as it happens.
Mandatory Requirements
- Proof of citizenship (passport, birth certificate or citizenship certificate) or VISA if applicable.
- Current QLD Open Driver's License.
- Must hold a Working with Children Blue Card.
- NDIS Workers Screening Yellow Card.
- Hold a current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) Certificate.
