Chiki Chan is an Asian-inspired restaurant located in Mordialloc, and we are looking for enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking Cooks and Kitchenhands to join our growing kitchen team.

COOK POSITIONS

We are looking for experienced Cooks who are passionate about hospitality and have proven experience working in a busy, high-volume kitchen.

What you'll do:

- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes to Chiki Chan's recipes, standards and presentation requirements

- Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining consistency and quality

- Assist with food preparation, mise en place and daily kitchen operations

- Maintain a clean, organised and efficient workstation

- Follow all food safety, hygiene and WHSE requirements

- Assist with stock rotation, storage and minimising food waste

- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service

- Contribute to a positive, professional and team-focused kitchen environment

What we're looking for:

- Previous experience as a Cook in a busy, high-volume kitchen

- Relevant culinary qualifications or demonstrated industry experience

- Food Safety Certificate or strong knowledge of food safety requirements

- Asian cuisine and cooking experience is highly regarded

- Ability to work efficiently and remain calm under pressure

- Strong understanding of kitchen operations, preparation and cooking techniques

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

- A positive attitude, strong work ethic and attention to detail





- Passion for delivering high-quality food and exceptional dining experiences

- Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays

- Full working rights in Australia

KITCHENHAND POSITIONS

We are also looking for reliable and hardworking Kitchenhands to support our busy kitchen team.

Previous kitchen experience is preferred but not essential. We are happy to hear from motivated applicants who are willing to learn and work hard.

What you'll do:

- Assist with general food preparation as required

- Wash and clean dishes, kitchen equipment and utensils

- Maintain a clean, hygienic and organised kitchen environment

- Assist with stock rotation, storage and general kitchen duties

- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods

- Follow all food safety, hygiene and WHSE requirements

- Assist with keeping kitchen areas clean and well maintained

What we're looking for:

- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

- A positive attitude and ability to work well as part of a team

- Reliability and attention to cleanliness and hygiene

- Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required

- Previous Kitchenhand experience is preferred but not essential

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays

- Full working rights in Australia
