About the role
Coastal Transport Services' is seeking an experienced Heavy Rigid driver to join our team in the Bathurst. In this full-time position, you will safely operate a HIAB truck to deliver goods to customers in a timely manner.
What you'll be doing
- Safely operate heavy vehicles to deliver a range of goods and materials to customers
- Provide outstanding customer service by ensuring on-time and damage-free deliveries
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and complete necessary paperwork
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintain logbooks in accordance with regulations
- Safely operate a HIAB crane to load, unload and deliver goods to customer sites (training to be provided), manual hand unload may also be required.
- Adhere to all relevant road rules, company policies, and safety procedures
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the transport operations
- Reporting defects, accidents or violations
What we're looking for
- Current HR driver's licence with on-road experience
- HIAB experience desired but not essential, willingness to undertake training
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures
- Ability to meet delivery schedules and escalate late or missed deliveries
- Ability to pass fitness for duty/driving medical, mandatory drug & alcohol testing
- Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (COR)
- White card or willingness to obtain prior to commencement
- Applicants must be able to provide a current driving record issued by Service NSW.
